We had never visited Costa Rica and we were hesitant about which company to use, but I am SO GLAD that we landed with this terrific company! Not only did we get the best company, but our guide Victor went ABOVE AND BEYOND what we could have ever imagined. I had booked 2 private tours through this company, and had so much fun the first tour that we begged to have Victor again on the second tour! The only downside I could find is that I am almost positive we will never be able to find a guide as amazing as Victor! He is hands down one of the hardest workers and went out of his way to make sure that we had the experience of a lifetime. I would highly recommend spending the extra money to do a private tour - we were able to personalize the experience to what we wanted and Victor made sure that it was an unforgettable time! He went out of his way to find some of my favorite animals and gave us many amazing life lessons along the way! I cannot express how amazing Victor was and how he truly set the tone for the rest of the trip. Just WOW - 5/5 stars does not do this company justice… will definitely be coming back!  Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We had Victor guide my wife and I on a day sloth tour, a night walk, as well as a day hike in Rio Celeste.  We had a brilliant time and he far surpassed our expectations and we felt very lucky to have him as our guide.

Not only is he super friendly and thoughtful, he is the consummate professional and was able to teach us not only about the animals, insects, and other creatures we came across but also about Costa Rica in general.

He is also clearly passionate and knowledable about nature and conservation and has eagle eyes spotting things we would have walked past without noticing.

We had a fantastic time and saw a whole number of creatures including Sloths, an Ant Eater, a Stick Insect, a Fer-de-Lance snake, Vipers, White Faced Monkies, owls, and a whole number of other lizards and insects.

Victor was also always early to pick us up on time and we always felt safe and comfortable in his care. We even convinced him to take us to the airport we enjoyed his company and learning from him so much.

I would not hesitate to use Arenal Private Tours again in the future and feel lucky to have chosen this company.

We saw a lot of animals in their wild habitat and really enjoyed our guide Victor who was very knowledgeable, sympathetic and friendly.
